Nintendo Wii 4.2 System Update Released

Nintendo has released update 4.2 for the Wii which finally kills the ability to use any homebrew whatsoever. If you are in the homebrew scene I would highly recomend that you don’t update to the latest firmware unless you want to lose it. For those who have homebrew on your Wii and you install the update, it removes all of the application that involve homebrew. So no more SNES games for you!

Since some people like to go the legit way, all this basically does for the normal users is that it supposedly increases the speed performance of the Wii. This update is related to the 4.1 update, which stopped any unauthorized, third-party channels from calling the Wii home. But in a matter of the time the nerds will find a way to work around this new update and you can have your glorious homebrew back.
