Fortress Forever Review
The Soldiers rocket launcher is a deadly weapon
Diamonds are forever, but are fortresses? Fortress forever is an action pack hl2 mod for the PC that keeps me on the edge of my gaming seat for hours on end. The speed with which characters move and animate reminds me of the raceways back home. This isn’t your grandma’s fast paced shooter though. Team Fortress Classic was known for its difficulty and complexity, and the Fortress Forever team hit that nail on the head. Im of course referring to the nail gun, one of the many weapons in Fortress Forever. Each class has a plethora of weapons, giving you the option of some up close and personal shotgunning or some longer distance nail gunning.

Heavy Weapons Guy taking the fight to the enemy
There are a total of 10 classes, including the civilian, who turn Fortress Forever into a class-based warzone. From the flame shooting Pyro, to the bullet shooting Heavy Weapons Guy, there is a class for all types of gamers. It is a great gamer moment when you run down a bridge, only to get stabbed by a spy. Night after night I have been up working to master the inner machinations of Fortress Forever. I almost feel like Quentin Tarantino could direct a movie in FF its so action packed.
What about casual gamers? Is there anything for them? Sorry mom, this isn’t your grandma’s Hl2 mod. Unless you’re a veteran of sitting in a chair on a computer for many hours, I don’t think I can recommend this to you. But if you’ve got plenty of notches in your gamer cutlass, this should prove to be a great experience.
And the best part? Its free! That right, as long as you have purchased a game that runs the source engine, you can download Fortress Forever no questions asked. Nothing in life comes free? I beg to differ!
So if you are looking for a shooter to wet your gaming whistle, then this is the game for you. Fortress Forever combines tight graphics with even tighter controls, combing speed with action, and giving me the impression that fortresses really do last forever.

This is a great review except I CANT PLAY IT on my PS3. I mean I baught Orange Box when it came out and have been playing HL2 and TF2 over PSN with all my friends since the day it came out but it drives me crazy that Valve just give all the PC players everything and leave us PS3 players out in the cold. I want to play this game so bad I can smell it and all I can think of when I read this review is how I cant play it or anything and how they always screw us on DLC on PSN.

This feels oddly familiar.
On a more serious note, it’s amazing how Valve changed the way the game works with TF2.
