Left 4 Dead Review

Left 4 Dead
Left 4 dead a zombie apocalypse first person shooter, set around four people trying to make their way out of the city and survive the zombie onslaught. There are many things that make this game original, for one the different types of zombies that come your way; The “Smoker” this zombie has a long tongue that can snatch you and drag you away from your team, the “Hunter” capable of sneaking up and pouncing you and quite successful at incapacitating you, the “Boomer” the most vile zombie that runs up and vomits on you to induce a horde of zombies, the “Tank” which lives up to its name in smashing and easily clobbering you to a pulp, and the final “Witch” this whining, crying, zombie hardly seems worth mentioning, until you set her off, where this shining princess kills you with her claws and fury that makes “There’s no wrath like a woman’s score” seem all too true. This game also comes with four Campaigns with four mini episodes within each of the stories, Versus mode which centers you around team versus team of zombies versus the survivors, and the recent download for for the X-BOX 360 called Survivor mode, where you and your team try to survive as long as you can against the zombie horde.

Dead Air
Story Mode rating: 8
You have the choice of playing this game both single player and multiplayer, while being able to choose whatever campaign you want to play. The difficulty setting is very effective, if you want a challenge Expert will give you a run for your money with hard hitting zombies and less of a chance to survive. The driving force behind this game is “The Director”, so dubbed by the creators of this game; The Director sets up how many zombies you will get, where they will come from and how many specialty zombies you will get, this makes the game different no matter how many times you play. And while the Director can be your best friend if you aren’t doing well in the game, it can also be the sweet mistress that turns out to have a disease, you wish that she was better but in the end you’re still going to have to get a shot of penicillin. If you enjoy the challenge of trying to beat off a zombie and try surviving what seems like the very end, then story mode is just for you.

Tank - As cute as a diseased kitten
Versus mode rating: 7
If you enjoy human on zombie, kicking, screaming, and the occasional gun fight, then Versus mode. This puts two teams of four against each other, alternating each team from Zombies and Survivor to beat the other in the better amount of points. You still go through the same campaigns and the same difficulty system as the rest of the game, just in a different fashion but still filled with zombie killing/survivor killing action that we all love. Although, I personally don’t like how rigged it seems to be a specialty zombie, it makes killing the survivors seem like an impossible feat. Now if you want to try your hand at being a hunter, boomer, etc. Then this is the style of game that might just be for you. But if you enjoy just being a survivor then you may not enjoy this mode as much as the other game modes that this game has to offer.
If you want some good old fashion first person shooter zombie apocolpyse game, then this is the game for you. The current price tag is $44.99 USD, for the xbox 360, the game itself will provide you with constant entertainment and an always changing game system, you never have to worry about getting bored with this game. From everyone at E4G, we hope you find this game as worth it as we have.
