The Saboteur

The Saboteur

Saboteur, one who sabotages, in this game you will be doing just that. Based around the World War 2 era, you will be playing an Irishman by the name of Sean Devlin freeing the people of France from the hold of the Nazi army. This game brings all good about fighting the Nazis with the feel of actually being back in the 1940s. While there are guns that are true to the time, it is always better to go around stealth killing.

Overall idea of the game is quite unique, while there are many games about sabotaging the enemy in hope to better the society, however there aren’t quite as much based around not only destroying but also bringing down the moral of the enemy. The makers of this game has put a lot of underlining humor in the game all based around making the Nazis seem like idiots and making them seem as cruel as possible, but still keeping that humorous edge to it. Running around France trying to liberate and inspire different parts of Paris.

The movement in this game can be a little awkward, especially when it comes to fighting and driving. There are many instances where I died because Sean wouldn’t drop down to look less suspicious or he just wouldn’t start punching the Nazis. However where the game does lack in that department the overall game play is not that bad. Trying to find your way around without alerting the Nazis can be both fun and a challenge.

I, however, did not like the graphics. While the game is not always in black and white, the major events are and can become quite difficult to maneuver around when you can’t see what’s in front of you. This entire game can be yours for the price of 59.99, but is it worth the price? Maybe not. I would suggest if you were to buy the game wait for the price to drop a little.
