Ok, so I don't own a Nintendo Wii. Sorry.
But from all the hype i've been hearing, my vote for game of the year on that system goes to the new multi-player Super Marios Bros.
A. It's Mario
B. It's Bros.
C. it's Super
D. It's multiplayer
E. Who remembers the Wii games that came out in Jan-Feb anyway?
My other contender would be PunchOut. Who would of thought some Canadian company could revive a classic game like that and not have anything to do with Hockey?
Before you go and say that my vote doesn't count because I don't own the system or played any of these games, remember that votes don't count anyway. Just look at the last E3 show where everyone voted Muramasa as "game of the show" and now that it's out, everyone who actually played it says it's not that great, flawed, repetitive and in the end: a disappointment.
Same thing happened with Scribblenauts. Everyone went 'gaga' for it and when it was released, it ended up being a disappointment as well.
The only difference is that Scribblenauts wasn't done by the journalist friend Shane BetterHousing (that's why none of them ever gave an honest review of the game). That's how the industry works: journalists give votes for their friend's games even if they know it's not that good.
So as an independent human being, my vote counts.
If you don't like it, put it in your cap and smoke it.
Peace.
